To accomplish this, First Quality has committed to reducing their energy consumption, water consumption and carbon footprint at least 15% by 2016. They are also committed to achieving 0% landfill waste by 2016. Currently more than 90% of the raw materials used in First Quality products end up in the finished products, and the remaining materials are recycled.
Some of their sustainability accomplishments include tracking the complete carbon footprint of every product they manufacture, and implementing software that tracks First Quality’s carbon emissions (greenhouse gases), their sustainability initiatives in water conservation, and their energy reduction and waste reduction initiatives.
